Gary's tasting notes
Very dark nose... almost Batman-like. It's bringing intense black cherry, black licorice, and black tea qualities that are big and in your face. In a word, this wine is "black." Then the palate is just as you'd expect, with aggressive but ripe tannins that are matched up with sweet black fruits that are strong from start to finish. At this stage, the oak is just a little too much for me. This will be an interesting wine to check in on over the next 10-20 years to see how it develops. It's got the structure and fruit for the long haul.
