Gary's tasting notes

The Domaine was founded in 1870 and Betrand Maume became involved in making the wines in the mid nineties.

Gorgeous nose... this smells like royalty and I certainly don't mean King Lebron James. Hot dog, red fruit, violet, and red bean flavors on the nose. Super interesting! Then this tar component emerges on the nose. Unbelievable, velvety mouthfeel... my gosh! This is truly extraordinary wine. Huge depth, great balance, loaded with sour cranberry, like you're in Massachusetts or something. Nice dark chocolate... that ultra premium bitter dark chocolate. The finish lasts for like 2 minutes. 2006 Burgundy even at the Grand Cru level isn't supposed to be hugely age-worthy but look for this to improve over the next 25+ years. This is showing serious pedigree even at this stage of the game. Pair this with any 4 star dishes.
