Gary's tasting notes

The Chapelle vineyard holding are farmed on a semi-organic basis, requiring that all vineyards be tended as organically as possible except in moments of dire threat to the grapes. The wines are fermented and aged using minimal new oak (10-20%), even for the top premier crus. This wine is a blend of two plots from within the 1er Cru site, 50% from upper hillsides that brings intense minerality and 50% from a lower plot with more clay based soils that adds depth and richness.

Deeper and denser nose than its village level counterpart, with little hints of honey and apple coming through. On the palate, there's tremenndous mouthfeel with explosive focus... pear, crushed rock flavors, I almost feel like I'm eating this wine more so than tasting it. Look for this wine to last 20+ years... I wish people would age these more! Fantastic effort.
