Gary's tasting notes
The classically famous domaine of almost 8 hectares, based primarily in Chassagne-Montrachet, and was established in 1985 when Gagnard-Delagrange separated its two estates. This wine is sourced from old vine holdings within the AOC and produced to showcase the depth and complexity of the appellation
First thing I notice is that it reminds me of the ocean, with a hint of salty minerality and crushed oyster shell. However on tail end it actually gets tropical and a little woody and smoky. On the palate, stonefruit, fig, apple, with beautiful elegance and wonderful finish. This wine has a decade plus of sitting in your cellar and honestly its so razor focused I would pair it with crudo.
