Gary's tasting notes
The wine is named after winemaker Stewart Boedecker, who is a very good dude. On the nose, sweet cherries, burnt charcoal, smokiness and a little hint of pepper. On the mouthfeel this wine over delivers... super smooth, very elegant. I've been a fan of this label for a long time and now I remember why. With the strength of the 2008 vintage behind this wine, combining the red and balck fruit perfectly, I love this wine. Beautiful soy, black pepper, and gaminess are woven like a tight knit scarf. This is gonna end up being "The Pinot Noir" newsletter, where I rediscover the potential for Pinot in the New World. Pinot is tickling my interest, and this wine is exactly why.
