Favorite radio show - Dick's Picks.
Looks like any Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon would be an interesting purchase. -

I love the 1982 reference, that was the year I was born and was fortunate enough to get a 1982 Barolo for my birthday a couple of years ago. "Guiseppe Contrato" any thoughts, should I drink it?
Favorite radio show - Opie and Anthony before they got the boot and ended going to satellite some years later. -

QOTD: Don't listen to the radio that much if at all. Love listening to the iPod with my favorite songs. Wish I had seen this episode last week before I went to Bern's. Would have looked for Spotswood.

Jim Rome circa 1995-99. Absolutely amazing sports talk. He revolutionized sports talk. Too bad now he is a joke to what he used to be. Listened to him for the first time in years the other day and couldn't make it past his monologue.

97, wow! I liked the mic better, just due to sound quality. QOTD: John Boy and Billy. Now mostly podcasts though.

Peter Michael is the best of CA if you can afford the wines. I was on their list for many years until the wine/realestate crash happened. Very Burgundian for their chards and pinots. No surprize for a KoBE.
Spottswoode 2002 was a huge iconic wine. Wish I still had the case we drank over a few years. 2002 was a great vintage in Napa. I have only a few cabs left from that vintage and am treasuring them. Nothing as good until 2007. I do not get the Slim Jim reference, but The French Laundry is an amazing restaurant.
QOTD Opie and Anthony NYC before they were canned due to St. Patrick's Cathedral sex scandel. -

Saw that Spotteswood for $125 but still a bit too rich for my blood. If you are a Howard fan, but haven't heard him on Sirius, you are missing the best radio of all time. He can interview better than anyone.

Right now I would say Marketplace with Kai Ryssdal. A few years ago I would say the stern or loveline.

One lonely bottle left in the cellar from a six-pack of the '02 Spottswoode...yummy stuff!
Vintage Howard is what I miss the most...Kinnison, etc, when they put real production value into the show.
