Galloni just went 95+ on the Montmains, for those of you who bought it, along with big scores for the other 2009s. Perhaps a collectible winery in the making?

GV, a lot of times, Chard is just too expensive. The 'naked' style can be well priced from new world producers, but in France, in order to get past the bulk or giimc stuff, the QPR often doesn't really do it for me... if the Guy Roulet was $15, it would be great. Also worth noting, is that, from my experiance, Burgundy is the sweet spot for wine snobs. Many people 'in the know' will look down on you if you don't know the specific vinyard site or the pedegree of the producer. Honestly, I don't want to pay the inflated prices and deal with the overall snob factor - I'll go play in all the other amazing sandboxes...

Yes, I'm coming full circle on white wines. There was a period where I would force red into everything but now I'm finding that there are more and more whites that are extremely interesting.

Favorite show I saw was Return to the Forbidden Planet. It was a musical cross between the Shakespeare play the Tempest and a B-rated Sci-Fi movie. Everyone played 3 to 4 instruments and the cast jammed for about an hour after the show.

Mott! Never been to a Broadway show? Wow! I am shocked. Nice white Burgundy show and good wines once again.

QOTD: While I loved "Rent", I'd still have to go with "Les Miserables" asy all-time favorite.

Even the village level Chablis from Pattes Loup was delicious! Look for it in the next newsletter.
