Wow, another great super-nerdy show. While I've certainly heard of Valencia, Spain, I have never heard of Bobal. Very interesting and clearly versatile grape varietal.

QOTD: My favorite cookie is molasses cookies.

QOTD: Snickerdoodles, and Toffee Chip cookies. My family make boat loads around Christmas time, and I gain about 10 pounds off of these two alone. :D

Hi Gary, I actually live in the town where these wines are! A ton of wineries here and one of Spain´s best kept secrets. If you are over this way again, would be great to meet with you and I could help with any translations as most people here don't speak English.

QOTD: oatmeal raisin I soak the raisins in Captain Morgan and, well... FUGHETABOUTIT!! I would highly recommend using a Cooks illustrated/America's Test Kitchen recipe. They are very detailed and always a great result. Don't know how much you cook, but if you don't cook much then for sure get a cheap OVEN thermometer the kind that you can leave in the oven. Oven temperature can make a MONSTROUS difference in baking cookies. My brand new top of the line Whirlpool is 25 degrees off. I've seen ovens off by as much as 150 degrees from their dials. Hope your cookies turn out great.
