Finally drinking this wine and watching this video together. I only paid $11.11 for this wine on sale. This is probably in top 10 of the best wines under $12 Ive ever had. Wish i had bought a lot more for that price.

Where did you find this? I looked everywhere for this around the time of the episode, along with the Oveja Negra wines Gary tried, and couldn't find them anywhere. Just bought two bottles today thinking they were this wine; oh well. I think they'll still be good.

On Memorial Day weekend, I was in Geneva, Switzerland so I missed the holiday. On the positive side, I did a little wine tasting and hiking in the Lavaux wine region in Switzerland. Their wines were quite good.
Yes, I liked this format, at least some of the time.

Doing this virtual tasting a little late. :) I agree that this bottle at around $12 bones is great for value but at $19-$20 it might be pushing it slightly. Loved the tannins, and dark chocolate. I'm having a meatball sub with it now and definitely think it drinks much bettter WITH food. Found the alcohol to spike a tad for me though. Love these virtual tastings Gary!

Cool show Gary, sorry I wasn't able to participate this time, hopefully you will do more of these shows in the future and maybe one of these times I can taste along as well.
QOTD: Answering this well past Memorial Day, but my wife and I went to my parent's house for Memorial Day, so about a mile from where we live, so cuts down on the travel costs. We had sort of traditional Wisconsin stuff, Brats on the grill and potato salad and a few beers, it was a nice day.

Great episode but Gary please stop referring to a 90 point score as the mendoza line, its not an accurate analogy.

QOTD: Was in Vegas earlier in the weekend for vacation and came back Saturday night. Broke out a nice dry aged New York Strip and 2003 Thomas Fogarty Santa Cruz Mountains Cab for Memorial Day.

Rode the Alaska Railroad to the quirky little town of Talkeetna, Alaska. It was 84 degrees, I got a sunburn. Denali was picturesque. Went to a lovely wine pairing dinner at the lodge there. Fabulous weekend.

QOTD: Went to the family cabin outside Mt. Rainer National Park. Took 2 bottles of Columbia Winery Rose of Syrah, a Moscato d'Asti, O/S Ulysses, Sage Cliffe Chardonnay and a Nota Bene Dineen Vineyards. Came back with no bottles of wine :-)

QOTD - I was in Minervois France on Memorial Day weekend and had several interesting local wines, including a sparlking wine that came from a litle south of that area.

Great Show, wish I purchased and tasted along with you Gary, however I spent that Memorial weekend in Prague drinking multiple wines at the Prague food and wine festival. Had a number of Rose from Czech Rep that knocked my socks off!
