Caduceus Cellars "Dos Ladrones" Malvasia Bianca and Chardonnay blend from Cochise County, AZ. Ripping acid, Malvasia brings some perfume like aromatics, some richness and body from the Chard. Really the most interesting wine I've had from my home state.

2007 Riesling from Markko Vineyards from Conneaut, OH. One of the handful of Ohio wineries (Harpersfield and Laurelo also come to mind) committed to improving Ohio wines and not concerned with building million dollar tasting rooms.

Am I the only one that thought the image on the label was a mouse cursor? I assume it's supposed to be an arrowhead?

This was a crazy fun episode! Maybe the best of 76 to date... just goes to show how much potential there is across the world.

I was about to ask about the other CO bottles on the shelves behind Gary, but I guess today's video answered that...

QOTD: Only decent wine I have yet had from New Jersey is the Alba Vineyard Dry Riesling. That said, I'm not sure it really qualifies as a "New Jersey" wine...I get the feeling that the grapes are grown elsewhere (I don't recall the label having any sort of geographic indication and the web site is very vague).

Gotta say that it is good to see Colorado wines making the review circuit! Those guys down in the West Elks AVA and the Four Corners Region have some interesting stuff!

I live in California but happy to see us looking at wines outside of California. I made a comment once that a $20 Livermore CA. Cab would cost about $25 to $30 if it came from NAPA. That ruffled some feathers.

Went to Guy Drew after Gary reviewed it from New Mexico. Great place we rolled up before noon when the tasting room opens and Ruth welcomed us in the kitchen! Guy came in from the tractor and opened more bottles for us. Great metate and voignier, port was great too. Have to say one of the few good Colorado wines.

The best wine that I've had so far from my state is the King Estates 2008 Domaine Pinot Gris. Love it, love it, love it!

QOTD: I do not know which of their wines was my favorite but the winery is Lowcountry Winery in Beaufort, SC. Some very respectable wines in an area not conducive to grape growing.
