0 . haven't tried any wines from Greece , tried Dr.Loosing quite a few times.
in Lithuania it's quite popular among girls-women not so much a men wine (reds are dominating). I totally agree with your rating of this riesling - it doesn't do anything for me, boring and quite sterile - Dr. fits fine here :) I love rielsings though, not to keen on french or mosel ones , like rhein area rieslings way better - they ar not to mineral and clay tasting. I'm a red wine drinker and riesling, some pinot grigio and gewurtztraminers are pretty much all I drink from whites - will try to expand on others thanks to you actually

It is such a shame that big Corporate Owned Retail Shops across America have thousands of Wines From Around The World but yet Boutari is the only crap they carry from Greece. When I was a Wine Buyer for Laurenzo's Market in Miami where Gary is now....I had 25 Greek Wines from Nemea and Santorini. Grape Varietals like Xynomavaro and Assyrtiko and Asproudi are amazing . I used to sell the crap out of them and now I am selling crap like most Wine People are like Boutari. Greek Wines Rock.

    Never had Greek wine.
Just came back from Europe and had some really good German Rieslings - to the point that I want to learn more about them. Even had some SPARKLING RIESLING that was really good.

Never had a Greek wine. Watched this episode to see what you thought of the Dr. L because it's one I've had a few times.

QOTD: Not much experience with either. In fact I'm pretty sure I've never had a Greek wine. Only experience with German wine would be riesling.

Never had a greek wine. But spent a lot of time with Riesling today at a tasting. What a fantastic grape. The world got a whole lot brighter and more interesting. Riesling is my new favorite white. Going to try it with some fish tomorrow night.

Tried some really great Greek wine back when I was a CKC and don't remember much except that it was really earthy and rustic. Love the acid in German Rieslings!

I love German Rieslings. I haven't had a lot of luck with German reds however.

I have had red and white greek wines from a greek restaurant in Belmont Shores, CA (Long Beach). I can't remember the names, though I've had better luck with white greeks than reds, though nothing that really knocked my socks off.
