i was that closet wine fan until discovering wine library TV and was shown how fun it could be. You tied in all the pop culture i grew up with me to make me appreciate it was worth developing my own palette, but over these 1000 episodes i realized i'm missing some of the history and understanding. eg. If I just became a Jets fan, It would be exciting Sanchez, LT, Pace, Revis, Brad "the bard" smith, and I could read up on Namath and the super bowl. but when it came to certain conversations i would be lost or feel disconnected. the O'brien years the maturity of Testaverde, Freeman, Rob Moore playing with a cast. Like you mentioned Kellen coming from Oregon, got you into the region some more. The news letter has to teach me, educate me, stimulate me on grapes, regions, interactive maps with harvest times, trips to these regions. Bios on growers and vineyards etc. i'm not just interested in drinking I want to appreciate why this tastes soo good in my mouth and how it got like this.
