Wednesday dinner wine Corison Kronos 1996. Butter boiled potatoes with grilled beef and a roman sallad topped with mustardmarinated red onion and peppers,, oh forgot the whiskey sauce.
1996 and still deep bordeuax red and with a fruit scent that knock your black and blue with all its fruit in the same color. Light streaks of rose and minute toffe vanilla. On the palate first very silky with generous blackberry, dark raspeberry fruit slowly turning into blueberry with chocolate, mid palate with sandy tannins and very faint notes of white pepper and then the back end with bountiful of lush black fruit marmelade on the dry side, long dry finish that resembles black tea. 12,8% alcohol contained totally. structure good, body medium to full, nice acidity... Is this a 90 pts wine? No, more like 94-95 for Mr Nilsson. This was truly good.
